Feels kinda weird scribbling stuff here once again, been quite out of practice for months, hehe. The last few months have been spent on the usual worldly problems & matters, being home itself provided distractions enough with all the families & friends around, and the three weeks elective posting I did was the best experience I had during the 3 months holiday.
How are y’all doing? I’m quite good, aside from the fact that I can’t really feel my toes at the moment despite having the heater working its magic, it’s like there’s a leak somewhere having the cold wind sneak into my room & fight all the warmth coming out of the heater. The weather forecast says its 10°C but feels like 4°C outside, and I think really it’s biased towards the 4°C, with the crazy wind and all. There was a sandstorm too yesterday & some shower’s expected sometime this afternoon, the roads’ gonna be nasty.
So anyways! I’m back in Egypt (should’ve said that first thing), been here for 3 weeks now, made it through my fifth year – all of us twelve did, currently in the middle of pediatrics rounds, and I think I’ve recently gotten my memory & orientation right back on track sometime last week, took me long enough.
Pediatrics’ okay so far, kind of boring actually if I’m honest, not really my subject of interest I guess. These things you’ll just know once you’re in it, and for now I’m 80% sure that I’ll never specialize in pediatrics. I have a housemate who’s interested though! God bless her, at least I’ll have some good friend to refer cases to later on (waiseh awal sungguh berangan).
Pediatrics rounds is expected to end by the end of January, then we’ll have internal medicine (special & general) for the rest of the year until August, then finals will be going on September-October. Twelve months in total, definitely the longest year I’ve had so far. Pray for me that this year will run smoothly for my friends & I will you? Thank you so much mwah!
So, I guess that’s it so far. Will ‘talk’ to you again soon, take care y’all, Malaysia I miss you!
