Saya anak Malaysia.

Humans will forever complain, about what you did, and what you didn’t. But I have complained enough about the godforsaken land in which I spend 10 out of 12 months of my living years for 4 years now (but still could never be called my second home, ever, not even in the future, despite the amount of time spent there that permits such title); the extremely tiring system, the rude and ignorant people (among others), that in days like these I can see nothing to complain of this country of ours, that all those 'faults' may somehow seem childish and rather small in compare.

Therefore, here I am, forever proud and grateful for being your child. And I hope you’ll continue to flourish, improve and grow independently despite everything, and I’ll make sure that I’ll be one of the contributors to that.

“Patriotism is not short, frenzied outbursts of emotion, but the tranquil and steady dedication of a lifetime.” - Adlai E. Stevenson.

Happy 53rd birthday Malaysia!
